The client had an organisation of dozens of salespeople who were responsible for preparing and negotiating offers. Numerous offers were sent out every day and sales management did not have the resources to check them all. However, the issue was that the salespeople were sending offers that were lower than the management would have preferred.

As a solution, we built a very low-cost automation (€450) using Power Automate, which checked the margin of each offer and alerted sales management if the margin of an offer was below 5%. A Teams message was sent to sales management, showing a summary of the offer’s specs, and giving sales management the option to reject it. In the case of rejection, a message is sent to the salesperson asking them to correct the prices and to re-submit the offer for approval.
Similar alerts or audits can be built for almost any subject, for example in the event of a significant increase in sick leave or a significant drop in sales figures.
